Cobscook Institute is hosting Transformative Healing: intro August 7th, 6-8pm, and retreat September 17-20th. Rev Dr Genevieve Sprinkle will lead this transformative course to give you tools to better understand the cosmic blueprint in order to strengthen our connection to source, each other, and the natural world. The Maine Mobile BIOLAB is part of Educate Maine’s larger strategy to connect students and educators with career pathways within the life sciences sector and develop a larger and career ready workforce in Maine through educational investments. The mobile laboratory brings scientific tools and techniques right to the communities, allowing youth access to experiences far beyond what many schools can provide. - Co-facilitating adult or children’s support groups
- Providing complementary care (licensed/certified massage therapists, Reiki practitioners, etc.)
- Leading a workshop (pottery, music, yoga, mosaic memory boxes, meditation, and more)
- Offering general support throughout the weekend
- General support volunteers and facilitators typically stay onsite in shared cabins (though this is not required). Workshop leaders and complementary care volunteers are only needed on Saturday afternoon.

September 9th to December 16th, Every other Wednesday from 12-1 pm, virtual: The Project ECHO Team at Dartmouth Health invites you to join our newest ECHO, Addressing the Spectrum of Alcohol Use ECHO. This ECHO course will explore the changing societal context of alcohol use, the current scientific understanding of alcohol use and its potential harms, and best practices in clinical management across the spectrum of alcohol-related health issues. Thursday, September 17, from 9–11:30 am at Jeff’s Catering in Brewer: Support family caregivers while enjoying a meaningful morning of inspiration and community at Eastern Area Agency on Aging’s Harvest for Help Breakfast. The event will feature an expert panel discussion on memory, aging, and caregiving, recognize AARP Maine as the 2026 Helper of the Year, and include a silent auction, door prizes, and more—all to benefit EAAA’s vital caregiver support services. September 17-December 17, Thursdays 6-7:30 pm, Cobscook Institute. This 13-week course will introduce students to the fascinating world of American Sign Language and the deaf community. We will use the TRUE+WAY ASL online curriculum and in-person classes to focus on conversational ASL with an emphasis on understanding the building blocks of the language. Learn more here.
