HIPAA/FERPA & Civil Rights Compliance

This is a free, 4-hour training on how to interpret guidelines to stay in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), and other civil rights acts. Regional staff from the Office of Civil Rights and the Department of Education will present this training using a seminar format in the morning and panel discussion in the afternoon. This training is designed for staff at all levels in Family Futures Downeast partner organizations and is open to staff from other CCC partner organizations who find these topics relevant to their work.
