SUMMARY:Helping Your Business Navigate Substance Use in the Work Place
DESCRIPTION:Sunrise County Economic Council and the Community Caring Collaborative are coordinating a 3-hour  training for employers on this topic on October 10th from 5 – 8 pm at the Downeast Recovery Support Center\, 311 Main Street\, Calais. \nThe training will begin with local businesses sharing how they are engaging recovery communities and learn from lived experiences. \nNext\, participants will learn how to identify\, respond\, and engage with current and potential employees impacted by substance use disorder. \nFinally\, there will be a networking event with area resources that offer information\, services\, and programs that support workforce participation\, including: \n\nrisk and liability\neducation and training\nsubstance use treatment & prevention services\n\nThis event has been cancelled due to low enrollment and we are working to reschedule at a different time. \n  \n
