When the Caregiver Action Network launched the Families, Addiction & Mental Health Network (FAM), we knew there was a real need for support and education in the community around acute pain management and treatment. That’s why FAM is starting Take Control of Pain, a campaign to reduce the barriers to acute pain management innovations and support families as they navigate pain management, including non-opioid options. Together with a diverse group of stakeholders, Take Control of Pain will provide tailored educational and advocacy resources that empower caregivers and their loved ones in making the most informed pain treatment decisions. We hope you’ll find this work both informative and helpful. To learn more and get involved with FAM and Take Control of Pain, visit www.fam-network.org/advocacy/take-control-of-pain/.
