CCC Wednesday Communique — February 18, 2026

The 2026 Chinese New Year began yesterday, marking the start of the first lunar month in the Chinese calendar. This year ushers in the Year of the Yang-Fire Horse, a powerful symbol of action, speed, visibility, and transformation through movement.  The Yang-Fire of 2026 is like blazing daylight—bright, direct, and impossible to ignore. This energy promotes courage, leadership, justice, passion, and a strong desire to move forward (Learn more from Mastertsai.com).  At the same time, Western astrology has some very intense planetary alignments, such as yesterday’s solar eclipse with Uranus squaring the new moon, a time of rebellion and rapid changes, which is followed by the Saturn/Neptune conjunction at 0 degrees Aries on February 20th — all heralding the endings of world power structures and the beginning of new more heart-centered structures.  Hold onto your hats — we’re in for a wild ride!

Happy Wednesday!

DEHV Celebrates 7 years of Honey Beer for Hospice

In February of 2020 the Lubec Brewing Company introduced Honey Beer for Hospice for the first time, and every year since.  This summer, a new batch of crisp, golden Honey Beer for Hospice, on tap at the Lubec Brewing Company, will be available. This is a labor of love by Gale White, owner of the Lubec Brewing Company and Mark and Arlene Wren of Robbinston who thought up this idea and provide their delicious honey.  Proceeds go to support Down East Hospice Volunteers, the only volunteer hospice serving Washington County. For more information about DEHV free services or to sign up for our April volunteer training contact us at 207-454-7521 ext. 9126, info@downeasthospice.org or director@downeasthospice.org.
