Eastern Area Agency on Aging is fundraising for their Furry Friends Food Bank with a Paws for the Cause campaign. For many older adults, pets aren’t just companions; they’re family, comfort, and a daily source of connection. But rising costs mean too many are forced to worry about whether they can afford to keep their best friend by their side. No one should have to choose between groceries and goodbye. That’s where the Furry Friends Food Bank makes all the difference. Through monthly pet food kits, older adults are able to stay together with the pets they love, safely and securely at home. EAAA’s Furry Friends Food Bank currently has a waitlist of older adults who need help to keep their pets fed and by their side. Your gift makes a real difference:
- $50 feeds a pet for about a month
- $250 feeds a cat for 8.5 months or a dog for 6 months
- $500 feeds a pet for up to a year
Will you consider making a gift today?
