Moving People out of Poverty

May 24 @ 9:00 am - 11:30 am

Please join us for this free, newly developed training presented by CCC Director, Charley Martin-Berry.  This training will explore high-level definitions and impacts of poverty, including a review of statewide poverty data. Moving beyond the impacts of poverty, participants will gain understanding of community-level infrastructure and supports that help people move out of poverty, with close examination of strategies that promote social capital. Participants will have time to work individually or in small groups to identify low-cost or no-cost approaches to helping their clients/students improve economic mobility through expanding their social networks.  Designed for staff of Family Futures Downeast partner organizations, but staff from all CCC partner organizations are welcome.  2.5 Contact Hours will be provided.  Participants may attend in person at Cobscook Institute in Trescott or via Zoom.  Click on “add to calendar” below the form to calendar this event.
