The CCC invites you to a virtual brown bag lunch on April 1st from 11:30 — 12:50 with staff from Healthy Acadia. Using Zoom technology, Katie Sell and Georgie Kendall will present a non-clinical outreach training on tobacco prevention, including an overview of electronic nicotine delivery systems (vaping). Participants will become familiar with the Quitlinks.com referral program and discuss success rates that combine counseling and nicotine replacement therapies; review helpful language to use for encouraging clients to seek help quitting tobacco; and get an overview of vaping – the harmful effects; statistics on use among youth; and marketing strategies by large tobacco companies that target youth.
