If you have referred or worked with someone using the services of a CFPB financial coach, please take a few minutes of your time to complete a short survey on your experiences. This survey has been designed with the specific experience of a community partner in mind and takes approximately 30 minutes to complete. Your responses will be anonymous and cannot be connected to you, your organization, or the coach connected with your community. If you are able to participate, please follow this link.

Red Cross Bed-Shaker Smoke Alarms
What is a bed-shaker smoke alarm? A vibrating alarm with bed-shaking capabilities to alert those with hearing impairments of smoke or fire in their homes. The American Red Cross will install them for free, as well as check and replace batteries in existing alarms and help individuals create an escape plan in case of fire. CCC’s Winter Weather Cancellation Policy
With winter comes snow and ice, making driving hazardous. The Community Caring Collaborative always puts participant safety first, so when considering whether to attend a CCC event during iffy weather, play it safe. If there’s a Zoom option, take it! Our policy is to follow the school district’s closing/delay decisions in the locale of the event. For meetings and trainings in Machias, AOS 96 is the school district. If the school is closed, we will cancel our event. If the school is delayed, we will delay a morning event by 2 hours and hold an afternoon event. If there is an early dismissal, we will cancel afternoon events. You can always consult our facebook page for the event in question where we will announce any cancellations or delays.
